School Accountability Committee (SAC)
The Northeast Elementary School Accountability Committee (SAC) provides families, staff and community members an opportunity to have a voice in our school community.
What is SAC?
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) gives parents, staff and community members an opportunity to provide input and help shape priorities at Northeast Elementary. All parents and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend SAC meetings. SAC works collaboratively with school leadership and provides feedback on topics that may include:
- School and grade-level updates and celebrations
- Curriculum and program updates
- School budget priorities
- School safety
- Elementary Progress Reports (EPRs)
- The Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)
- Current school needs and priorities
The SAC includes the principal, a teacher representative, at least four parent representatives and a community representative. You do not need to be a SAC member to attend a meeting. Parents and community members are welcome to listen, learn and participate, and meetings include an opportunity to share appropriate questions or concerns with the committee.
